Chainsaws - A Practical Request

When we first got a request for chainsaws from Olena, I was a little confused. After all, how could chainsaws help end a war? But as we talked more about how these chainsaws would be put to use, I realized this was a brilliant project for us to get behind. This easy-to-find item in the United States was near impossible to track down in Ukraine. But every community needs them right now. As Russian military targets the power grid in Ukraine, the reality of this cold winter and how harsh it will be cannot be overlooked. For our friends in Ukraine, having the ability to cut down wood and use it for heat throughout the winter was such a practical request.

Enough from me, you have to watch this powerful video provided by our friend, Olena, who is helping us keep local communities in Ukraine warm this winter. She partnered closely with us to help the residents of Svyatogorsk, located in the Donetsk Region, which was recently freed by Ukrainian troops. We provided funding for chainsaws to help the community there cut down firewood to keep warm during this bitter winter.
